If nothing or very little is done like i said yesterday. FIRINGS NEED TO HAPPEN
Leafs do nothing it's another 1st round exit.
Brock Nelson got moved for Calum Ritchie, a first round pick, Oliver Kylington and a third if Colorado wins the cup, which they could.
The Leafs could have put together that package, but they couldn't make the cap work.
Conor Garland is tied with Boeser, now that Hughes is injured as the next highest scorer on the team. Isn't Boeser more gettable?
I'd be surprised if the Leaf's did anything. maybe some more minor moves like putting Reaves on waivers. But no big ones. I think even though they're high in the standings this season is lost. The Panther's and Lightening just made themselves very much stronger. I think the Leafs are going out in the first again barring a miracle. I think they're going to wait till they find out what's going to happen with Marner and Tavares, and look to next year to make big moves.
I always felt Brad is a really good drafting gm and offseason gm for the most part. but trade deadline he always made me sad
You're forgetting the money difference exchange and all
Guys its about time you realize toronto are not those guys there weren't in 2006, 2011, 2015, 2019, 2022 or this year get over yourself your team is terrible and its not gonna get better anytime soon 😅
@stevedangle after watching the Vegas game and seeing all the moves already made by other. Throw in the expiring contracts.
I don’t want braaaaaaaaad to trade the future away for this group. BLOW IT UPPPPPPPPPP
Is regarding the 4 nations… How come no one talks about the pool of players between Canada and the states… We are clearly out numbered in that regard
BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now is not the time to be cheap. It's not the time to be expensive, but it's not the time to be cheap. Go get your guys Brad, while they're still out there.
Sayonara Shanny
This is my comment every video and post until he’s gone. It’s 4 years over due. Cup winners can make fundamental changes in season. Do it!
Unless they're getting a top line d-man and/or another center the Leafs shouldn't do anything.
shhhh
Fortune son of an ex crooked cop oligarch and you guys expect action?
Prepare for the usual Leaf fan disappointment.
if I'm the Hawks, I would be laughing and hanging up on Murphy for Domi. With Bertuzzi, Maroon and Donato, you don't need Domi.
If they resign marner im becoming a stars fan
If brad makes no deals he should immediatley be relieved of his duties
Julien ruined the buyers market 😂
Brad is probably already like both florida teams took our top picks so ill pass on this trade deadline
Tampa has won the Cup before, for them selling their draft picks make some sense, althought it was too high a price in my opinion. Florida made a great trade that actually make sense to me. Toronto's cupboards is not empty but only really has 3 peices that teams want. I would hold off this year, they are not good or deep enough to win. I think they are a team that needs to be rebuilt in the off season, especially with the cap going up. See what this team can doo as is then reevaluated in the off season. I have given up on this team already. This team is sloppy all over. Only good things I see is Tanav/McCabe paring and Goaltending.
This franchise is a joke seriously. I guess first round elimination is okay
Toronto is just going to watch every player they are attached to be traded to another team.
We knew at the beginning of the year this was not going to be the year to go all in. NO CAP ROOM. Brad with limited cap space fixed the goalie position and improved the defence. How could he know Mathews would stop being a force on the team. They also changed the coach. Unlike Rantannan our top five players have NO TRADE CLAUSES. Marner, JT not resigned and you can not move them. Next year cap goes up a little but might be spent already with Knies, Woll and McCab getting increases. Only space next year would come from Marner and JT signing for less than 22 million. We have no idea if Marner even resigns or if Mathews will return to form. Dumping the top prospects would be foolish for rentals. Generally it does not make us better long term. Next year it still would make sense to go with what you have in the system for cheap cap hits.
Dude look at the Leafs D core. I smell a first round exit.
"I just got here!" Said every Leaf executive.
All I have to say is…….1967
BRAAAAAD intensifies
Its ok if the Leafs dont trade 1st time the leafs didnt give the farm away again…. good move trev get better in the summer rebuild coming …
If Brad sits on his laurels I don't think he will have anytime next year…
"Brad's beard and balls bundle" would make a great marketing slogan
Disappointed in Brad !
Another 1st RD exit.. but honestly, this Leafs team doesn't have "it" to go on a run… why would Brad tinker on something that isn't close to crossing the finish line?
Mitch has the Leafs strapped again, another 1st round loss coming up. Watch Mitch walks for 16 mill per season on to another team and take the curse with him.
Nah, save the picks. The Leafs don't have the cap space to fix the issue. They have 4 players over $10M. That doesn't leave enough money for a deep supporting cast. The team's structure is the problem. There were times available to make changes, but they hard decisions were never made. Making bit moves now will be no different than years past. You lose assets and futures for minimal playoff difference.
BRAAAAAAAAAAAD!
What I would love to find out later is that the Canes dangled Rantanen just to mess with other teams and their trades.
