Thanks for the update Patrick! I hope the Oilers don't sacrifice too much at the trade deadline. I like the Frederic pick up but mostly if he re-signs with the team. I wonder what an early exit in the playoffs would mean for this team? By and large they are giving the core of the team the benefit of the doubt because of what they were able to accomplish last year. I'm honestly a little concerned. I could see Knobloch out and someone like Joel Quenneville in.
They just need to trade him to someone else and hope someone wants to take him for next to nothing. If you get a late round pick for him then so be it. Trade him to someone that can use a 2nd or third line winger.
If the Oilers move J Skinner (getting him to waive) they will have 6.7M available to them. Add in Klingberg and Kapanen that’s 9.4M. Boman, if smart, can significantly improve this roster while getting rid of bit pieces
I do not understand why jeff skinner is always a healthy scratch. i hate that. why can’t they do that on bouchard
Trade turn over booch and skinner for a goalie. 97 is out of town if they don’t go very deep.
Stu gets a lot of criticism, it is justified byt i thick people also overlook the poor defensive plays lots too, then you factor in Stu and his wife have a new baby now and if you have any idea how that is, that can definitely be tiring if you gotta be up at night etc.

Looks like the Canucks traded $11.6 to the Carolina Hurricanes. So you can move big contracts.
Bouchard has to go after the season is over, can’t afford his defensive lapse and head in the clouds when he plays in our end. Can’t afford 9-10 million for a strictly offensive defenseman. Go get another big rangy defensively responsible defenseman and pay that player the 3.9 million to 6 million.
Sign and trade Bouchard? For a needed defensive player and a draft pick…keep the money to get a goalie if we need to upgrade.
Time to fire Knoblock??? I agree Jeff Skinner should be played every game on the second line even. Knoblock is being a knob here for sure. And Stuart Skinner still shouldn't have a start for a very long time. Pickard got the win we needed and the last game sh!t show …. Well….. There was only 1 he shoulda had. Are defence allows players to come grab rebounds without any hassle
Seeing Skinner scratched makes no sense. Looking forward to the Habs game as well as the end of trade deadline so the team can focus on playing as a unit.
