Leafs need to learn to handle their own affairs… like Knies did last night.
Reaves is an old school relic that would be unnecessary if the leafs had a legit power forward that would not hesitate to crunch someone or mix it up.
If leafs don't individually tuffen up, they don't get the cup.

So just because they placed him on waivers doesnt mean theres not another guy going out. Could just mean they have a trade in place that will reuire that extra bit of salary cap space. My guess is it will be with the Seattle Kraken thats about the worst kept secret in the NHL theyre after Tanev but I dont think thats it. I think theyre after more then just Tanev They have alot of players the lefs could be after as well. MCCann , Oleksiac , Larsson, Tanev are all players the leafs could be targeting. I think they would like to shore up the LW, shore up Centre as well as Def.
I think they would like to Upgrade McMann, Holmberg and that Myers/Timins spot on D. They had Domi at centre which makes me think they were looking to see if maybe they could just put domi at centre thenget a 2nd line LW. but I dont think thats relly truely what they want.
I strongly believe in having guys who are intimidating, who can win fights on the team. But Reavo has not continued that reputation. He is someone who can just be ignored by other players. We don't need one guy who barely plays. We need a team culture where ALL of our players will drop the gloves and purposely looking to intimidate other teams and goalies. Goalies should be worried about guys crashing the net and defensmen should be hearing footsteps. And teams should know if they want to fight, they'll be in trouble. One of the main reasons I wouldn't trade Knies. I HIGHLY doubt trading Knies Tree or Berube would sign off on.
