Strome was the consensus #3, so no blame to be had on the pick. But imagine how things might be different if they had picked Marner. The Buffalo Sabres of the western conference. Just with much less fan support. Anaheim is much further ahead in their rebuild than Arizona is and Ducks had some fairly good teams in the 2010's. Arizona has had basically one good (overachieving) team since 2011. I don't know how much longer the NHL is willing to keep propping this team up with 💰 before the league realizes what a colossal failure this team has been and will most likely be for the next few years.

Hey man I have compiled an excel sheet with all points average of all teams since 1987-88. And the worst team is NY Islanders and Edmonton . But Arizona is not far ahead.
The most wtf Finale would be AZ vs TOR. As both of these franchise in the last 33 seasons(not counting old jets stats in) were the worst in term of no cup, no finale, least 3rd appearance, low pts avg in reg season. An AZ-TOR would be the equivalent of a DET CLE SB. Exept a DET CLE SB would be INSANE!

Coyotes in Arizona is a failure. I say they won't last long in Arizona before moving somewhere else preferably Houston so there would be an NHL cross state rivalry in Texas.
It's been 25 years, the Coyotes haven't turned a profit, They're not winning on the ice and now They're getting evicted from their arena. Bettman either move the franchise or contract them.
You forgot Ty Emberson one of the best D coming into the NHL this year signed an entry level contract with Arizona. As a rookie he should help the Depth immensely
