What are your thoughts on allowing Matthews, Marner, and Nylander take a week off to recharge given they've all participated in the four nations face off? Yeah we might fall in the standings but we will make the playoffs. Considering that's all that matters.. wouldn't it be better just to be focused on that
Not once have I regarded the Leafs as anything but an outsider in terms of the Stanley Cup. I would put at least six teams ahead of them. Probably closer to eight.
Florida, Tampa, Washington, Carolina, Winnipeg (admittedly, they have to prove themselves in the playoffs) for sure, Dallas, Colorado, Las Vegas; Los Angeles, Edmonton (who don't look great either right now) are all arguably more likely to win

It’s crazy how teams like Florida, Tampa, Dallas and Nashville can keep adding players and making these contract work in states with no income tax and everyone else has to catch up for it? Really really really make me want that tax adjusted salary cap y’all were talking about before the season started
Rantanen isn't all that. BUT that doesn't change the fact that we NEED to add. Give me Nelson or ROR at 3C and a solid 2nd Pair Dman (or 2?) and I think we can compete!
