0:30 Brock Nelson trade incoming
Multiple NHL Insiders have linked the Winnipeg Jets to New York Islanders forward, Brock Nelson in what seems a certain trade ahead of the NHL Trade deadline. Will the Jets look to move on from a forward in Cole Perfetti to acquire Nelson or will Kevin Cheveldayoff look to move draft picks. Mark Pye and Darius Domingues break down all this and more on this episode of Hat Trick HQ.

He has to be pure rental. Whatever…sell the farm and swing big for this playoff…deal with the fallout in the summer and do your retool with prospects at that point.
Long-term re-sign would be, for me, a huge mistake though.
I think Jets would prefer sign and trade 3yrs at 6.5m-7m
And they would trade Lambert+1st maybe more if bigger package like Pulock another 1st+Barlow or Lucius.
But jets need a 2C Nelson,Schenn,Cozens,ORielly.
They don't need but would be nice a guy who could fill pionks spot next year like Parayko,Pulock,Ristolainen,Sanheim.
I think the best depth d like 4th/5th is LukeSchenn but Savard or Dumoulin be good too
The Jets absolutely have the prospects and picks The Islanders would want. Nelson’s home in Minnesota is about 40 minutes south! A first rd pick and Barlow and perhaps a bit more with retaining salary
The Jets biggest need is on D with a big physical player replacing Stanley.
A 2nd line C would be a bonus.
