In 2023 hockey analyst Bruce Boudreau said he knew Vegas was going all the way bc they had the best 3rd pair D in the league. That’s how important the lower D is.
Problem is the Jets never take any major major swings. They have done some ok swings, but name me one trade where the Jets traded away prospects? Let's say for example by some sheer miracle Connor McDavid became available at the deadline, and he actually wanted to come to Winnipeg. I know that is impossible but just humor me. Every single other team in the league would clean out the cupboards and trade everything they got for him. Chevy wouldn't. That is the frustrating thing.
FWIW there was a guy behind me on my flight last night that looked exactly like Appleton? Likely not him but maybe a premonition they are trading him😂
