On Wednesday’s edition of Felger & Mazz, the guys questioned whether or not the Bruins will actually trade captain Brad Marchand, and whether or not they’d participate in a blockbuster trade before the NHL trade deadline.

The Bruins intend to "build" with their $8M+, 8-year contract guys? Why do you think they all demanded 8-year deals? Because they are lazy jobbers who don't even show up for camp and many games, but they demand to be paid top dollar anyway. Montreal is going to clean the ice with them for the next 10 years! EDIT: Maz is right- most were saying sign him & calling out the Bruins for being cheap. (I was one of the "bad guys" saying not to sign him..go find my posts.)

No chance Crosby and Marchand go to the Avs. If you listened to the clip, the guy says it is a done deal, then goes more into it, which is possible based on some shaky logic type take.

I said the same thing as Felger from the start. What has swayman done to earn that kind of contract?? I would have let him sit out the season. They would be just as far ahead now. Korpo has been decent. Bruins are effed unless they can trade him or buy out that ridiculous contract.

Marchand of course wants to win another cup but wants to do it in Boston. You need to respect that. It’s not about money for him it’s wanting to win with the team that drafted him 15 years ago. Swayman is the worst goalie contract EVER… LITERALLY the WORST CONTRACT in NHL HISTORY, by the numbers. Swiss Cheese Swayman not only sucks ass in goal, he created a rift in the organization and the fanbase when he missed camp and preseason with his stupid little 'woe is me' charade. $64 million was not enough to feed his family, but $66 million was enough. The team plays better in front of Korpisalo, and that's a fact. SWAYMAN HAS TO GO, even if we have to retain some of his salary. The team will never gel with him on the team. He's already done too much damage.
Only one of the players Sweeney signed last summer has been a positive addition, and that is Korpisalo – who was an after thought. He makes a FANTASTIC #2 goalie because he can give us a good chance to win games if we lose our starter. His numbers are much better than Swiss Cheese Swayman.
Between Swayman, E. Lindholm, Zadorov, and Coyle, their contracts have destroyed this team. There is nothing we can do to move these players. Nobody is dumb enough to take on any of these contracts.
We have a 5+ year rebuild ahead. There is no core to this team. There is nothing to build from. We can't build a team around Pastrnak. We don't even have one other top line forward to put on the line with Pasta. Zacha's passes and shots are erratic and wildly off target all the time. It's not good enough.
Poitras has just one f*cking goal all year in 32 games. ONE EFFING GOAL. Just 10 assists.
Beecher: 3 GOALS in 61 GAMES, and he's on the ice every goddamn game. Meanwhile, Vinni Letteri had 2 goals in 8 games, and he's being kept in Providence.
This is the worst Bruins team I've seen in my life. I'm 39 and I've watched every Bruins game since the age of 9.
I'm not being negative. I'm just stating the facts and my opinion. Everything is terrible, from the management, to the coaches, to the entire roster, to the prospects. It's all bad.
Strap in my friends. We have a painful, long road ahead. It's going to take YEARS to build this team back to be competitive. It's depressing.
Marchand and Crosby have both won Cups. Loyalty is a quality we need more of in sports and society. What does Marchand have to gain by going to Colorado? What’s one more Cup going to do for him? Bourque was different, he had never won a Cup.

The only two players that I would wanna keep would be Pasta and Geeky. Everyone else would be on the table, but it starts with getting rid of Sweeney.

It feels like speculation. The Marchand end of the trade wouldn't be that interesting in terms of what the Bruins get, especially now that he's hurt. Just because he's potentially going to Colorado with Crosby probably doesn't change his market value much. As far as Swayman, it's obvious they play better in front of Korpy. Wonder why….
Put Lindholm and Swayman on waivers to see if some stupid GM bites.
