Please remember that on the Montreal 3-on-2 that resulted in Josh Anderson's goal (as the 4th player coming into the play for the Habs) that tied the game at 2-2, not only did Benson not get back to cover the puck carrier (Lane Hudson) but both defensemen back for Buffalo, Bryson and Clifton, went to Hudson and left both Habs wingers (Gallagher and Dvorak) wide open as options for Hudson to pass to. Hudson opted for a pass to Dvorak who then passed to Andeson at the top of the slot for the easy goal. Bryson was the only Sabres player who was in a half-way decent position on the play. Clifton moving in to attack Hudson, which left Dvorak wide open to also drive the net, accept a pass and force UPL to move to his right to cover him was just as bad as Benson's failure to cover Hudson coming out of the Montreal D-zone.
Im hoping the soon to be FIRED Kevyn Adams makes these moves- Trade Henri the Finnish Pylon and possibly trade Jason Zucker if he can get a 1st or 2nd round pick and lastly resign Jordan Greenway. You said Adams has built a STRONG D CORE??? Sorry, not yet as Owen Power has needed a stay at home D partner for over 2 years now , hopefully the new EXPERIENCED GM is allowed to spend to the cap and he can bring one in this summer. Gavrikov, Pionk and Lindgren are all UFA . Lastly Im hoping the new GM can also sign a top 6 forward and hire a new D coach as Marty Wilford shouldve been fired when Granato was. Most of the problem is Adams, can him and get an experienced GM in here before moving anybody but UFA's You're 100% right on Peterka getting caught watching the play instead of watching his man sneak in from the point, he's done that a lot the last 3 years

I do think KA should trade Byram because he has a lot of value right now. From all the rumors there are several teams that would like to get their hands on Byram and his value is very high right now. NYR are looking to get a better LHD right now can we swap Byram and Braden Schneider who is a top 4 RHD? We had the rumors about the Canucks. Would they offer up Tom Willander who is coming out of college this year and is a RHD who will be a top 4 D and a 1st? Now this is not a hockey trade however you are getting a player who in the very near future you can put on your blueline as a RHD who a lot of people are high on. I think if Buffalo is able to switch Byram for a top 4 RHD or a prospect like Willander who is very likely going to be a top 4 D Plus then do you it.

For the first time since 03-04, I haven't regularly watched Sabres games. I assume they don't know how to fix this until further notice.
