Just a note about cap hit. Kunin’s cap space acquired on Friday is actually going to be $2.75M/192 =0.0143 m·$ x 41 days on Leafs roster =$587k. So the Leafs only need $587k in cap space to accommodate him. Kyper talked about this on his show. The actual cap space required for all players will be 21.35% of their AAV if acquired on Friday.
That also works the reverse, so any player moved out only saves 21.35% of their AAV as they have played the other 151 days on the Leafs.
Puckpedia calculates all this and projects it out to make it easier. Any of the big boys go on LTIR then they can acquire 4 Kunin’s
