NHL Trade Deadline LOOMING as Laughton & Ristolainen Remain Flyers for Now

It’s less than a week until the NHL trade deadline, and the Philadelphia Flyers’ two most heavily-rumored trade pieces — Scott Laughton and Rasmus Ristolainen — hit the ice with the club for practice on Monday, not knowing if this will be their final week as a member of the club. PHLY Sports’ Charlie O’Connor was on the scene to chat with Ristolainen, and to get head coach John Tortorella’s view of his his in-demand defenseman.

  1. Anyone think there's going to be a surprise trade from someone who most people assume is safe following the relative favorable view of the frost and Farabee moves

  2. I don’t think that are going to get a 1st round draft pick for just Laughton ( he’s one of my favorites but 🤷‍♂️) maybe a player from the Phantoms who has potential

  3. Laughton needs to go. He’s pathetic. Risto better stay. Letting him go for a stupid draft pick is starting over and rolling the dice and putting all your chips on one number just to get what you just traded away

  4. Great report Charlie like always. Your comments are interesting, keep up the good work. Risto needs to stay we need him. Thanks, from a Canadian Flyers fan. 👍
