1st Place Underdogs: The Winnipeg Jets

The Winnipeg Jets are having an incredible season where they have been in 1st place in the NHL for the majority of the time. However, it feels like still, no one is taking this team seriously. Would a deep playoff run change how people perceive the Jets?

  1. Underrated? Opposite. Overrated. They have been very lucky with some very late wins, etc. Also, they have the best goalie in the league. They barely beat the Sharks (last second heroics), they barely beat a SENS team missing a number of starters and lost to the Preds. This is NOT a great team. They are a good team. That's all. If they don't add any grit and size, they are going to get bounced again in the first round.

  2. You always do great videos on the best team in the NHL, we need 2 players ,but the players we get have to fit right in the 4 lines we have on the ice and bring home the standy cup, so find them this time and go jets go🎉

  3. I agree, we have to go for it. Makes zero sense to not go for it with a team this good. Anything you trade away won’t be impacting the team for 3-5 years, and by then the window is closing/closed because Helle and scheif will be much older. It’s not like you can’t go back to old lines if the players don’t fit in, so I don’t see why chemistry is a concern

  4. Every forgets how game 1 of the playoffs started with jets piling 6 on Colorado and almost ending the series before it started prior to blowing their load.

  5. Need to bring in some big boys who can bang, otherwise they will once again be pushovers in the playoffs. The 2018 run epitomizes that

  6. Agree. I am really pushing for the Jets to secure the #1 spot so they can get the Flames or the Canucks in the 1st round. Maybe if they have a good series, they may go for a long run!

  7. The thing that worries me is like what happened last night against Nashville. Comrie is in net, stands on his head and the jets lose. When the jets play defensive hockey they lose. Comrie has played well this season but has a losing record. Jets open up when Helle is in net, tough to do that in the playoffs. Hopefully we get a weak team in the first round so we can establish our game.

  8. Jets typically play better when they're underdogs, so I'm happy with that. And let's be fair, they still have to prove they have the grit and yes goaltending for a deep playoff run.. That said, it does feel this year is different..

  9. Honestly, I think we should go for McCann, and bowen Byram. Here's a trade for each
    Jets: Byram
    Sabers: Stanley, Chibrikov and a 2026 2nd

    Jets:McCann
    Kraken:Barlow, 2025 1 and 3rd.
So what are your thoughts, love the vids keep up the good work.

  10. Definately underated!
Not saying they're winning the cup but I got my 13-1 bet down over a month ago. They got bounced last year sure, everyone knows that, but since opening night this season they've been quietely and steadily putting out playoff style winning hockey.
Tight, disciplined stay above the puck while forcing turnovers and keeping puck posession. Some losses of course but no blow outs, no playing down to weaker teams, no bad penalties. This is a mature team that was ready on day one to go out and prove something to themselves.
Again, not saying it's in the bag, too many things that can go south, but Chevy's going to come up with another sneaky good deadline pickup and we'll see what happens.
Personally. I don't see Sheifle or Lowry or Morrisey or Neideritter not going balls to the wall in April and I don't see Helle losing 4 out of 7 to any team this time around.
It's the year to put your money down and if they win you can put it towards next years season tickets.
