I don't want old maple leafs
It’s frustrating being a leafs fan because apparently we are getting both schenn brothers, rantanen, o’rielly, Bennett, while retaining marner
as a huge Tampa fan, Stamkos at center is a liability. Almost to the point of Bedard. The avalanche should be trying to trade for him to play on mackinnons line
Have you watched Stamkos this year? I’m talking this year, only this year. Stamkos can’t skate anymore. He’s playing beer league hockey, in the NHL.

As a red wings fan watching Justin holl on our 3rd pairing this season I will never understand how he was the leafs top pairing right shot for years and how he got himself a 3 year deal with us

I'd like to see Brayden Schenn join the Leafs. He would be a great bottom 6 forward in Toronto. He's a Stanley Cup winner too. Great
What about someone like Olli Maatta or Robert Bortuzzo right-hand D's might not cost as much as a Shenn i know Bortuzzo has the mileage on him but plays a similar game as Shenn, Maatta maybe not as physical as those two. Just a thought from a Habs Fan.
Luke is a decent depth guy hes valuable
No way on Stamkos at $8M … Ryan O'Reilly, maybe, it's a decent AAV but he chose to leave so I'd hesitate to jump at him

No bloody way. We need scoring and they can't score. They're older, slower and more expensive than when we had them. Stop this. If you want a dman, try to move heaven and earth for a guy like Dobson or a younger scoring forward than someone like ROR. That ship has sailed fellas.

O'Reilly didn't want to play here because he wanted to have a bigger role than 3C & defensive chip in roll. Under Berube he could be 2C with Nylander.
I would love it if the Leafs got Luke Schenn, again. To me, he brought the intangible leadership during the '23 playoffs.
Everyone saying O'Reilly doesnt want to play for the Leafs is so uninformed. He didnt want to play for Keefe and the team Dubas built. He quite literally talked about when he left. He would 1000% want to play for the coach he won a cup with.
