Pens defence doesn’t have the horses. Can’t be surprised they can’t defend…and their forwards don’t really defend well either. And goaltending was the back-breaker…stick side was an issue. Just need better players.

Karlsson has always been bad defensively. Unless he's putting up 70 to 80 pts a season for you, the poor defense is too costly to be successful. As far as letang's comment goes he just stated it's a business and it is. If he does want traded, trade him. He's done enough for the organization that he's earned the right to go to a contender
You can't tell me that Ian Cole on the less expensive side would not help settle this defense down. You might have to push Sully out the door but hasn't that been the real issue these last several years?
I've heard that Dubas had been after Karlsson since Dubas became a G.M. with the Leafs. Dubas can be one of the more rational G.M.'s out there, but he does get attached to certain players. Karlsson is not going anywhere.

Erik Karlsson is ACTIVELY bad. That end of the second period where he turns away from the play was a fireable offense. I hate him.
