None of these goalies are having an average year this year, and certainly not the team in front of them… that said, the narrative they spun on Jarry was really low. Many times when he answered questions, he was called a whiner or blamer… but when someone else does it, questions 'everybodys readiness' its met with 'you go Ned'. Yell at coaches while you are at it. "Finally, emotion". Thats not a knock on Ned, but a calling out of the double standard. And the whole season… Jarry gave up first shot. For Ned, the Penguins gave up the first shot. For Blomqvist, the other team scored on first shot. These narratives are examples how media influenced the fanbase, to the point of booing Jarry. Adding uneeded pressure and the resulting demotion. He showed up to work every day knowing outside his room, media and fans did not want him there. What purpose did it serve to wreck your 5mil+ goalie? Its not like he forgot how to play…he struggled behind a not good team. Just odd all around.

Don't sweat it Ned. True fans know you are a hard worker. Then Pens had a chance late in the 3rd because YOU kept them in the game.
