W
Now Chicagos gonna be worse if thatโs possible๐๐๐
So what is the trade?
bye jones ๐ never liked him anyway more of a vlasic person
Man Chicago is already handicapped and now this? They might not last in the league for much longer
๐
Chicago: Spencer knight, 2026 or 27 first rounder
Panthers: Jones and 4th rounder
Welcome to Florida ๐
Good riddance
Panthers will regret this
Wish we could have had a better team around jones. Never got to see his potential as a 1a defenseman.
real talk how do yโall feel about the trade
Another awful trade by KD
W we got rid of Seth useless
I've been telling people for weeks that they were underestimating Jones trade value in the new cap reality.
That said, Chicago won this trade. To get a young guy who looks like an NHL starting goaltender and a 1st, while only retaining $2.5m? I'd have thought fairer either Knight isn't part of the deal, or Chicago retains $4m.
Chicago eats 26% basically making Jones a 7 mill cap hit. You give up Knight(4.5mill cap hit) and a first. This is a risk on the Panthers end, but if you think this improves your chances at repeating( of course it does) and extending your contending window it's a smart move. Florida may have just made the move that has them lifting a cup in a few months and all they gave up is a late first(probably) and Knight who is no guarantee to be a starter( in fact he's overpaid for a guy going through ocd and mental problems).
I like Seth for FLA now
I havenโt been this happy as a hawks fan since 2015. Shame because I actually really like Florida too, and feel horrible because they quite obviously got fleeced. But, heโs your problem now panthers fans. On behalf of all Blackhawks fans, good luck.
Now he has a chance to play in the playoff instead of go no where with Blackhawk who is on the bottom.
We fleeced Florida
Blackhawks just got a fully developed elite 1st round goalie in Spencer Knight. Been following him since his college days. He finally looks like he did at Boston College. Blackhawks & Kyle Davidson absolutely cooked with this trade. Future is bright in Chicago.
As a Bruins fan, I approve of this trade
Anyone who thinks the blackhawks lost this trade clearly have never seen Seth Jones play.
Florida trades a first round pick and a potentially elite goalie for a way overpaid bottom 4 dman wow
im excited to see him on the cats
A forward for a goalie and some picks? I dunno. I would think goalie for a goalie. Panthers have so much scoring power already. Jones will just add to their scoring depth. I would think Chicago could of gotten another goalie in the deal. Their special teams need more work!!! Otherwise Chicago loses this trade in my view. Money might of forced the panthers to give up Knight. I'm sure they got other pieces when it comes to goalie if they needed it.
At 7M he is a decent top 4 dman but they give up a potential elite goalie AND first!? Crazy move for panthers
Bit of a overpay this, if Seth jones is a first and top prospect parayko is probably 2 firsts.
Do the panthers have another G prospect? Why trade Knight when Bobrovsky will retire in a few seasons?
a 2nd rnd draft pick that never played like one.. watch the panthers turn him around ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Yโall will see how this guy plays in games that matter. Same with Bedard when that day comes. Good luck jonesy
At this point panthers will probably regret it and I really do feel bad for bedard ๐ข
6 minutes of bedard making this guy look like an all star
Good Riddens
Bedard will leave next
They just put Tkachuk in LTIR. The Panthers are not done ๐ฎโ๐จ. Let Zito cook! ๐งโ๐ณ
This is such a wonderful trade by the Blackhawks. Well done, Kyle from Chicago.
