Mushy middle???? What a surprise 30 years of this crap oh and my tax dollars to a new arena with no young up the middle/forward franchise players.
Plus flames have a shit owner and starting to think Conroy is a yes sir type of guy.

Now we battling blues as well for the playoff spot. Huska “right way” doesn’t involve scoring and maybe it’s time to let him go and find another coach? If it ain’t the players, it’s gotta be the system right?
If our R shot C appears this year or next? I hope it's this year. Thanks for mentioning tank Pike. I always ask people "Does the owner call the team meeting or the Gm or the coach or the players when the team decides to tank hard?".
Looking forward to another year of just missing the playoffs and not drafting high. I'm sure we'll acquire elite talent someplace else! It hasn't worked for the past 20 years but this year's the year!

I think Conroy will make a trade or two. I'm not sure if the Cozens ship has sailed but I definitely see him getting a left side defenseman. I wouldn't be surprised if an older vet or two got moved as well. I think they will be somewhat active but it's just my opinion.
I can 💯 confirm Pike is right.. I know Conroy has had some discussions with Grier regarding Mario Ferrero but nothing came of it. Conroy has had interest in Cozens a few months ago but the asking price started with Zary which Conroy said no.. Quite simply you can't tank with Dustin Wolf as your goalie.. Andersson and Kadri are tradeable BUT they want to be Flames and this team has competed and thats why they are where they are in the standings. Let the guys compete Especially the young guys!! Conroy is doing great enjoy the ride and always remember this team was predicted to be shit and instead we've been heavily entertained with superb goaltending and youth movement.. Futures bright!!

Pike I love ya but if we can’t draft high we are just going to repeat the Kipper era (-) a superstar like Iginla. And the best they did unfortunately was a miracle run in ‘04 where they lost (won). I don’t want another 10-15 years of being INCREDIBLY MID. Yes wolf is amazing but if we don’t get the star forward via draft/tank idk how are we supposed to actually win. I guess time will tell but I am betting early to mid round playoff exits for the seeable future unfortunately.
The Flames are flaming out after losing again. How's the previous trade where they "stole" Farabee and Frost from the Flyers working out? You mention the trade as a template of what they want to do going forward. They are 3-5-2 since making the trade and have been shut out twice. F&F have combined for a total of 4 points over those 10 games. And they have Farabee for 3 more years at $5 mil per and have to decide whether or not to sign Frost who may command more than he deserves given the big increases in the NHL cap over the next three years. That trade will not be a template, but the REASON they are reluctant to do anything else before the trade deadline.
