Many New York Rangers fans have been hoping that the team would make some selling moves before the upcoming trade deadline on March 7th and they’ve made a deal with the Colorado Avalanche that will send multiple players including a prospect to the Avs for two draft picks in the 2025 NHL draft and a couple of players as well.

This does nothing that will improve the team this year. Getting back a couple of picks to replace the ones Drury has squandered is okay. Not sure why anyone would consider this massive: more like a nothing deal to pretend Drury is doing something. It does not make the team a contender or even more competitive. They are still headed for an early golf season.
This is a deal that helps Colorado more and a last ditch effort for Drury to look like he has a plan. It’s also a clear sign that he’s given up on the season which I think should signal the end of laviolette.he was handed a great team and took 1.5 years to ruin it. Drury should go too.
Wanna see a line of Parssanin, Kaliyev and Otthman
The deal is about bringing back picks. Defense is too small and while Lindgren has heart, 6 foot 194 is not what you would call LARGE. Sad to see his grit and heart go, but need to bring in size and toughness next year.

A home run for Chris Drury??? Get real, this is a nothing transaction. DeHann has been washed up for several years, Parrsineen is an AHL player at best. Allowing Drury to rebuild the mess he made is a BIG MISTAKE!!

So we trade a not so bad d-man for a not so bad d-man and a maybe 3rd liner for a maybe 3rd liner. And for me getting excited over draft picks is the same as getting excited over getting socks for Christmas. All I can say is we knew what we were gonna get with Lindgren and Ves and maybe the change will awaken something in the other guys we got and 1 of them will have some amazing end of season. I say put Rempe in front of the net on every line and have the game plan of – shoot from every angle.
And a big thank you to Lindgren and Vesey. Lindgren is a trooper and made up for his negatives with his grit. And Vesey always seemed like he played 100% and in my eyes was a 3rd or 4th liner guy you could trust out there when you needed a goal.
As an Av Fan this what we needed… Lindgren brings grit and passion to a team that needs that come playoff time!! De haan has had a nice year for 3rd liner but that’s what he is the picks we’re extra from the Neces drury trade so the depth we needed is what we got here
As an Avalanche fan I'm happy with this deal. Lindgren is a solid blueliner and helps them right now. Parssinen wasn't getting much ice time. He does bring some good physicality which the Rangers could use. But his offensive upside is 35 points per season.
Not bad at all, although, I still have no idea why we added Borgen after about two weeks, and on the deal we gave him. When he actually 'hopefully' upgrades the D, it better be a home run move, as we are going nowhere until that is attended to.

Nice work by Drury. Lindgren is unfortunately regressing and will have his career hindered by injuries. He just doesn't play the same anymore and I can't blame him, he is totally beat to hell. de Haan is nothing special, but if he can do what defensemen are supposed to do while staying healthy then that's good enough for now. Vesey was meh, Parssinen is definitely an upgrade and is a young buck that plays with energy. The draft picks are a huge plus. Funny, people complaining that it doesn't have a direct impact. Rentals are not the moves to be making right now. These are very inexpensive pick-ups and we finally unload Lindgren who has an expiring contract. Drury is making room. Lindgren will always have my respect for playing the way he used to
So Drury trades youth to get older players then trades older players to get youth? Kakko chytil gone an parsinnen has done nothing to get me excited..this trades are kind of a hope it will work out trade.. Rangers don't have a good defense and you trade another defenseman… trade for brady tkchuck . Make Ottawa an offer they can't refuse

It's fine. We move off two players we weren't going to re-sign. Not sure if any of the players we are getting in return are going to be long term pieces but getting anything in return for expiring contracts is always a net positive. This doesn't change anything in terms of how I view Drury. I still have no faith in him anymore. Picks are great, you can never have too many. But what the Ranger do with their draft picks…well yeah. If he can trade Kreider or Mika…then you've got the money to make a serious run at Rantanen who is likely going to test the waters before signing with Carolina. Happy to see Lindgren and Veasy go to a legit contender though. Hope their next chapters are good ones.
