  1. Wishing Dach a speedy rehabilitation. Glad the surgery was said to be successful. Pay the kid and let him move on. If he was so slow this year to get back, it will be tougher next. We should invest in the future and get a youngster (or acquisition) to be a 2c.
With the speed and violent hits in the game, Dach should look at his health first and career second.

  2. I'm going to be predicting that the Habs are going to want to try Ivan Demidov at centre when we joins the Habs next year. He played centre in juniors so its not that he hasn't done it before. I was hoping Dach could solve one of our central issues at centre but I don't think he will. So be prepared to see the Habs take a long look at Demidov playing at centre since he such a playmaker already.

  3. If the Panthers don't re-sign Bennett, he's gonna get 7 years from somebody. That contract is gonna start looking really bad in about 5, which is when our current young core will all be in their prime and we should really be a competitive team. Hughes has always talked about not throwing away the future for the present. Also trading a Reinbacher or Mailloux to fix one hole will open another hole, one step forward one step back. I spent some time on EP the other day looking for recent PPG comparables to Micheal Hage at his age in the NCAA. I came up with Matt Boldy, Matty Beniers, and Cutter Gauthier. And there's a decent chance they come out of this draft with a Frondell, Desnoyer, or O'brien. We don't need to sign a guy until he's 36, we need a stop gap.

  4. Really want to see that alternate universe where dach is not injured after that monster training camp. like basu said he was literally the best forward on the ice it's such a shame

  5. Everyone is thinking they are selling, but only 5 pts out and with all the assets they have, what if they’re buying?

  6. Pray that Demidov can play center or hope that Beck miraculously proves himself capable as 2C.

  7. Well, Monahan for example, is a player who did bounce back after multiple serious injuries / surgeries. So regarding a potential Dach recovery, who really knows ?

  8. Is there an NHL player that generates for himself more grade A scoring chances and misses on 95% of his scoring chances than Josh Anderson. And I don’t see that he his great passer but maybe you will show me stats and I will be proven wrong. Again this year, he is a valuable trade chip, which he was two years ago, so I am in if you can get a young prospect in a trade or being part of a package.

  9. I'm disappointed with Dach situation but at Least Hughes tried , he took a chance. I would rathrr have a active GM. For now they may fo this
    Beck can play 2c
    Newhook can play 3c
But if we trade Evans AND Dvorak
    Who will play 4c?
We will have to keep Dvorak and of course it would be preferable to have Beck with Laval for the playoffs.
If we trade I can see a centre comming back
What we need is a super star centre to play with Demidov.
If we could only get Micheal Misa

  10. Dach is 10 ply anyhow I would have never acquired him and now that we are stuck with him good luck getting your first round pick back.

  11. Dach is too fragile we'll never be able to rely on him to finish a season and even less to survive playoff hockey.
