The San Diego Gulls delivered a commanding 4-0 shutout victory over the Calgary Wranglers at Pechanga Arena on Wednesday night. After a scoreless first period, Justin Bailey opened the scoring just four seconds into the second, capitalizing on a power play with assists from Ryan Carpenter and Sasha Pastujov. Just over two minutes later, Pastujov extended the lead with a goal of his own, assisted by Jan Myšák and Tristan Luneau. The Gulls continued their dominance in the third, as Easton Brodzinski netted his first career AHL goal at 8:30, with Dillon Heatherington and Luneau adding assists. Nathan Gaucher sealed the win with an empty-net goal at 14:31. Goaltender Ville Husso was stellar between the pipes, stopping all 34 shots he faced to earn the first shutout for the Gulls this season and earn first-star honors. The victory marks an important step for the Gulls as they look to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
