The Nashville Predators have been arguably the biggest disappointment of any team this NHL season. Despite bringing in big names during the off season like Steven Stamkos, Brady Skjei and Jonathan Marchessault and spending over 108 million dollars to do so, they have been remarkably bad this year. Last night as they took on the Florida Panthers, things may have hit rock bottom. They lost their 8th game 10 games, captain Roman Josi was hit by Sam Bennett that resulted in him leaving the game and Luke Schenn who has been in trade rumours said “I don’t think I’ve ever been a part of a group like this that literally can’t score a goal”. Safe to say, this team is a dumpster fire at the moment. I cover it all in todays NHL hockey recap!

Come on..easily a third of this league have "WHA" level franchises in "WHA" level towns.

THE NHL never forgave the Aeros for being the best American WHA squad, and they should have been in on the merger.

From what I See Nashville is oozing talent,but is slower on the ice and the chemistry is not there. The old Yankees strategy of spending money on any star that will sign on doesn't work in Hockey. Trotz just leaned that the hard way.
I love that Ryan O'Reilly thought Toronto wasn't as good a spot as Nashville.

But buddy, you’re 34, you’re old. I miss McDonough. He’s like +34 or something, leading the league. Why’d we get rid of him basically to keep schenn and sign Skjei lol I don’t understand this team. Had super high hopes, first time super star talent like this has been in Nashville outside of PK/Weber/Rinnee, but no Stanley cup winners like stammer, marchy, oreilly. Right guys, wrong time

I’ve got so many NHL predictions wrong, but I called this. All the media were saying they won free agency. I couldn’t see it at all.
As a Tampa fan–I was one of only a few(?) who acctually celebrated when i read the news about Tampa not re-signing Stamkos and opt. for Guentzel instead. Sure Stamkos could score you some goals on the PP, but playing with Kuch & Point–even i would score some goals… The decline of Stamkos has been "shielded" by the skills of his teammates in Tampa–and now Preds will pay $8M/y for 4y, for a player that might get you 20goals/y (and 90% of those will have to come on the PP.)…
Trots please just start the rebuild we need it.

Been a Preds fan for a long time. Got my wife into hockey for the first time this year and she loves it. Too bad I played up how good we were going to be. I’ll never stop being a fan but she hates me for bringing her in during the worst year in franchise history.

I still remember the Wild signing two guys to lonnng term grossly overpaid contracts that hamstrung the club for a decade. Still having a detrimental effect on signing pieces the team needs. NHL execs are some of the dumbest out there.
