  1. why buy him out. the club can send him down to the ahl if he isn't performing. i have to believe he would agree to a contract termination much like saad's with the blues. i'm sure he would sign with somebody for brock boeser type money.

  2. Allvin is such a bad gm, he signs a contract and were already talking about buying it out before the contract even kicks in. FIRE ALLVIN.

  3. 😂😂😂😂

    11.6 million regrets

No GM like Alvin signs so many players only to trade them before season done

  4. A top what?

    A top 8 !?

    Are you delusional

    He’s not even a top 20 player

    Overrated soft diva.

I would take 31 other teams top centres over this pretender.

He hit 100 points once let’s sign him to the current worst contract IN the NHL

HE GOT 100 points because of Hughes , Miller & Boeser

  5. I know it's been frustrating, but I'd wait a few months into next season before pulling that trigger of a buy-out. If theres any chance so far in even hell that he can rebound, we should wait and hope his value goes back up. Then trade him

  6. A player's attitude certainly does affect one's performance. Example: Detroit Red Wings had a bad attitude when playing for LaLonde. Their attitude changed when DRW hired Todd McMellon, and look what they've done since. They're the hottest team in the NHL, now. If DRW acquired EP and renewed his spirit and played him around his fellow Sweeds, he just might return to his former top level game. Canucks would have to retain much of his salary and since his downfall DRW might only have to give up a second or third round pick. With the cap going up, DRW could afford EP…AND if he's happy, maybe his contract could be restructured. Go Red Wings and try to get this guy. Have Nick Lindstrum talk to him.

  7. If he doesn't get is act together by next year, if he really cared about the well being of the team and franchise he should mutually terminate his contract to either sign for less or to not handicap this organization

  8. Rich young man he will be if he gets payed out. No way owners of Canucks will do that. We need way more true north and free players.

  9. I have knee tendinitis and I beg to differ on the skating just walking Can be super painful think about the quick turns and knee pressure I think he needs rest and yoga lol seriously though yoga can help

  10. This is stupid. In my mind this guy is not living up to the contract he signed and his conduct toward his team and the organization seems to be a huge issue. So now the team has to commit to 14 YEARS of a financial hit to ask the guy to kindly take his act somewhere else.
I'm left wishing there were a way for the team, the player and his agent to come to an agreement where by they could agree to terminate the contract. Give everyone their piece of flesh and good bye.
I know it's more complex than that but… Frustrated. Still not a fan of ownership btw.

  11. A buyout of a contract is often an absolute last resort, but unless a non-Canucks NHL team wants to take on even a portion of the US$11.6-million per-season cap hit of EP40’s contract, but the Canucks may have little choice if they want the PSCH of his contract to effective July drop below US$10 million (which it no doubt will should such a buyout go ahead).
