He plays great when he is amped up. Unfortunately, you have to win a ton of regular games to get to the point where you play in big games. They knew this, I imagine, and that's why they played him even tho he wasn't looking good in the previous games of the tourney
Even though McDavid scored a goal for the ages, Binnington deserved to be the 1st star of the game. (He was the 2nd star.) Not that I think he really cares. Outstanding goaltending clinic he put on. 👏👏👏
