They did bring the new strategy and IT WORKS WELL. Panthers are not an easy team . Panthers were rattled . Changed format takes time to get there . i think they improved . They weren't going to miraculously take out cup champions . The tide is changing for the better .

First of all, the game was interesting to watch! The Oilers played better than their previous four games. The goalkeeping was also better, but still 4 goals were conceded and only 3 were scored. Leon Draisaitl was the Oilers' best player, as he has been for a long time.
And I'm glad Hyman finally scored and found the hole between Bobrovsky's legs. 🤪 On the other hand, Ekholm (2 turn overs) was too slow on defense and had trouble clearing the puck and holding the blue line, resulting in two penalties, one of which was at a very important point in the game. Bouchard (-1) also had 2 give away in own zone, but this became the norm for him. 😂The statistics don't lie: Janmark (-3), Brown (-3) and Henrique (-2). So there is a lot of room for improvement on Line #3. Penalty Kill 4v5 was good, but 5v4 was not. Let's go Oilers!😇Stu is weak goalie, Knob is to soft🤪
Two solid periods from him, then he lets one in that he saw all the way with time to react, and it goes in exactly where he’s been beaten lots lately, glove side just over the pad. IMO, he needs to push out a bit more before going down in the butterfly take some of the angle and net away from the shooters.
Koskinen 2.0 bad glove side, goes on some nice streaks once in a while, but is nothing more than a fringe AHL starter. Btw what a piss poor excuse “goals like that go in on many guys” 🤦🏿♂️
Super nice guy, but Skinner needs to develop his career on a retooling or rebuilding team not on a last breath Stanley Cup contender team. Skinner hasn't earned the stripes or pro years to be the guy that holds Leon's and Connor's peak years firmly in his hands. Ultimately that's what all this comes down to. Skinner has an enormous amount of power on this team. He controls Connor's and Leon's cup destiny and he's holding all the cards as the #1 starter because of The Oilers major cap issues. If we bring in Binnington to move or even keep Skinner as a 1b some big name on the Oilers will have to get sacrificed. Doug Armstrong isn't stupid. He proved that with the offer sheets last summer. Stu Skinner is the most powerful player on the Oilers right now whether anyone cares to admit that or not. Skinners's holding all the cards.
