I dont think sully is the right coach moving forward. He expects close to perfection from his players and when an inexperienced nhl player makes a mistake, they are stapled to the bench. I understand this is not a developmental league, but that's the situation we are in. Some of these baby pens are going to need patience at the nhl level and i dont think that's in sullys bag.
I said months ago that this team is done and the coach needs to go. And as always, I was right. But Pitt is the city of insanity now. No longer Champions. Sid please leave. This is a total abomination and you deserve far better. Sullivan lost this team years ago but keep on sticking up for him folks. Look up definition of insanity. You'll see the 3 Pitt sports logos. We are back to the dark years after Jagr left and before Sid's ascension. That was 4 consecutive losing seasons, but i think it's going to last a lot longer that. So many more expansion teams now the talent pool is spread a lot thinner
Look at teams like the Flyers and Columbus . They all have a player or 2 that I say wow in a year or so he might be really good, the penguins have nobody I say that about
Can we just admit that dubas just isn't that good of a GM? Every one of the players he went out and got is a complete disappointment. For one reason or another. Either they don't fit or they're just not that good. Karlsson, graves, acciari, nieto, bunting, smith who's now gone, lizotte he's been ok at times. Just nothing clicking for the guys he signed.
The wheels have been off for a long time… at this point we are looking for a new vehicle to put the wheels back on. This team is cooked and has been for years.. brutal rebuild coming even worse than CHI

Bring Jarry back up. It cant be any worse than what we have now. Best case scenario – Jarry heats up and increases his desirability to other teams. Worse case, there’s absolutely no change to what we saw the last 3 games
Season's been over since 2024 and yet I will keep watching. Give the net to Blomqvist the rest of the year to see what he can actually do. Not these spot starts. Make as many trades as possible.

You have to respect Ned for owning it, Jarry never did. But this has been the reoccurring theme since Matt Murray took over. Why is the most important position not a priority to get someone qualified, enough of the Jarry's. Desmiths, Neds, and any other third string goalies they've tried to tell us are number ones. I've said this before, I am looking for baby steps, I am looking to see the team improve and play competitive hockey , and this is what they deliver, I had no delusions of the playoffs. Last night i saw an entire team quit, I saw a coach bitching and moaning at every call against them, I saw Letang and Rust bitching like their coach, shut up and play, its not the refs…..look in a bloody mirror and you'll see the problem. There wasn't a single player that would of got a star if you gave out a top seven, not a one. I'm tired of this show, I am tired of the Sullivan show, and I am getting real tired of Dubas's show. Mostly, I am tired of watching a franchise waste good years of one of hockey's greatest players………its shameful. Give me the fan something to watch, because right now I am done with the gutless, heartless, undiscplined crap you are putting out, get ur heads out of your asses and be professionals!
Capitals were in worse shape 2 yrs ago …. But they didn’t make mistakes like Accari , Nieto , Smith , Jarry …Grzlyck …..just so many mistakes.

When talking about the baby pens almost nobody ever brings up Bemstrom or Katchouk. 2 of the top players and top scorers for WBS but with a little more experience at 26 and 27 years old. I wouldn’t mind seeing them at least get a shot up at the NHL level. For Bemstrom it would be a longer look than the two games he got earlier this season. Also Murashov should definitely be in Wilkes Barre and not down in wheeling. He’s clearly too good to be playing at the echl level.

Does Crosby really want to suffer like this for the remainder of his career? As a Crosby fan (and Pens fan), I hope he asks to be traded. He will get value in return, and let's all hope he wins another cup.
What else did the Capitals do to their franchise? They got a new voice behind the bench. God forbid the Pens get rid of FSG’s favorite person.
I have zero faith in Dubas. Sadly Washington never made any bad moves like dubas made. I thought there would be a chance at Penguins trying to do something like Caps with a soft rebuild, but it ain’t happening. This team will be a bottom 10 team again next year and a mediocre maybe playoff team for many years.
The WBS player that intrigues me is Avery Hayes. He's not under contract with the Pens and would have to be signed, but this kid is blowing up down there and I'm curious to see what he can do up here.
I think the mystery here is are we in a rebuild or retool, or somewhere in between? To me it feels like a very fluid situation and Dubas is adjusting his approach week-by-week on the direction. If the plan is to attempt something like Washington has done, then absolutely keep Rakell and I'd also have no problem with that. I think the Pens are financially in a situation next year construct a better team than they have now. A true contender? Probably not, but maybe a playoff team.
They need to bring in some youth from WB to see what they have. Thank you DK.
Well we know they can play because they played their rear ends off during 4 Nations, but can't be bothered to put forth the same effort for their million(s) dollar salaries. It's hard to be a diehard Penguins fan watching the half-hearted mediocre play when there's other teams out there putting out the effort and good play. The Penguins are my team but the players on the team (not all) I have no respect. Can't root for a team you don't respect.
Why do you people keep wanting to trade Rakell? On our team, he's #1 in goals, #5 in assists, & #2 in points. Rakell is not the problem.
Right now this is probably the worst team in the NHL they are losing because the lack of concentration in the lack of effort
Ned always takes one for the team. While that makes him an admirable team mate, we surely know that Ned is not the problem here..The problem is much much deeper..The pens have a horrible defense including the forwards who should be playing defensive roles when appropriate and now cant even get the puck into the net even when they make the pretty plays (they dont have players who are around the crease to score those types of goals)..Lots of blame to go around. What interests me the most is if we will still have Crosby, Malkin, and Letang when next season rolls around…I think they would prefer to play on competitive teams while they can still play at a high level…They must have very mixed feelings about this being the competitors that they are but feeling rooted in theBurgh.
A new core could be woven around McGroarty and other WBS young talents, looks that McGroarty has some leadership ability.

It's obvious they are trying to keep NHL guys on the roster instead of the young guys and I'm really hoping that's bc they feel they are developing better in the AHL
