Kirk does not have to be around the team and in the locker room, they can tell him not to report and give his agent permission to speak to teams, there is no reason to cut him

I have been banging the table for Kenneth Grant in the first. Get Chase Young trade back in the second, it’s a lot of edges in this draft, pick one up in the second and go from there. Chase Young shouldn’t be to expensive.
Keeping Kirk will cost an extra 10 mil but more than likely a desperate team with an injury will come calling. Or cut Kirk and still have to bring in a decent back up at 5-7 mil. I’m not sure why everyone just keeps talking as if a replacement isn’t going to cost anything at all. If you cut Kirk you still need someone decent behind a qb who is going to be in his first year starting. How much do you think that guy will cost?

I would pay him the 10M roster bonus and let him know that he will be the backup QB. I would stipulate that if the Falcons are his agent find a trade partner I will have him pay back the 10M roster bonus and then trade him for a draft pick. The Falcons cannot get dunked by this dude.
He intentionally went to the media to try and force the Falcons to cut him because he probably have a destination in mind. Although management deserves some blame here in no way would I allow Cousins to play this game. He is going to be 37 years old so he really doesn't have much leverage. With Aaron Rogers and Russell Wilson, Sam Darnold, and possibly Matthew Stafford on the market Cousins has no leverage.
