If you ask me I hate how the Leafs are taking their time with making a trade i would think the sooner you make your trades the more time the new player has time to learn the systems and know your teammates

Until further notice, I don't see anything groundbreaking happening before the trade deadline. Something should happen, but Brad Treliving's trade deadline history doesn't lend confidence. Treliving is a noted 'tire kicker', but it ends there.

Don’t forget that if Leafs trade for him, giving up Cowan, Minten and a 1st give or take, both Rantanen and Marner could still walk in free agency. And having three top end right wingers doesn’t make much sense unless they see Rantanen being able to play left wing.

As nice as Rantanen would be. You would have to give up so damn much for a possible rental player. Then how much would you have to pay him 14 mil or more a season. So then you say ok we're going to pay a winger more than our top centre and first overall pick, nah that can't happen. Again that's why Col let him walk.

To get a player like that and give so much back, you have to make sure that he will sign with Toronto and the summertime. Otherwise don't make the tray. You got to make absolutely sure. Love that guy will stay in Toronto because going back the other way it's going to be a lot of draft picks and who knows how many players who go the other way. Right now the leaves have to make sure before they give assets. This guy will stay in Toronto for the foreseeable future. Have a nice day❤
Not happening. Toronto management is the complete opposite of Vegas… too scared to make bold moves. They’re probably losing 1st or 2nd round of playoffs and will re-sign Marner for a ridiculous amount.
