This coming season, the Ottawa Senators will finish last in the Atlantic Division with a record of 1-72-9 and then fire both team president of hockey operations and GM Steve Staios and head coach Travis Green at season’s end. On April 14, 2025, Michael Andlauer and Anna and Olivia Melnyk will sell the Senators to a Hartford-based group headed by hedge fund managers Ray Dalio and Todd Boehly for $1.75 billion, including a relocation fee of $195 million to relocate the Senators to Hartford. On April 17, 2025, the NHL Board of Governors will approve both the sale and relocation of the Senators to Hartford in a 30-2 vote, so after calling Ottawa home for 33 years, the Senators will relocate to Hartford to become the Hartford Whalers and play at the XL Center in the 2025-26 NHL season.
Well that game pretty much erases the 5 game win streak we had before the slide into the depths of losing like it matters, are these guys playing for the playoffs or a 1st round pick? 5 losses in row!! Brutal . And just to add i donr see this slide ending anytime soon . COME ON BOYS !!!!
Perron and Amadio dont provide any offense, speed or goals for this team, and they dont hit. So they both need to be traded. We need players who can actually score goals, we have so much trouble getting goals its unreal. And again another 5 game losing streak.
I think it is time to panic!!! We need a good top 3 player and another solid D-man without selling the farm. If nothing changes, we will sink to the bottom and miss the playoffs again.
Five straight games of having allowed at least four goals in each of them. Four straight during which the Sens have scored at most two goals. Losses of each of the last four games by at least two goals. If those signs I listed in the last three sentences aren’t those of a team in trouble, I don’t know what signs there should be that this team is in trouble in terms of playoff qualification.

Boys played hard one of those first two goals if we got that back would’ve been a very different game

GSG. Good effort, poor result
EFFORT WAS FIRE.
SALUTE 🍺.
They did for sure, but I be sad to see them once again not make it.
don't let it slip away boys.
Too many goals out of the lineup and playing arguably the best goalie in the world. Ullmark would have had to have been perfect

Not enough depth and not enough top end talent. Insane to ice the roster we have the passed few games when you've been rebuilding for 7 years.
