trade for a 2nd line pick is a poor decision. A 2nd liner need maturity and development. Evans, Beck, and Armia is a 4th line for the playoffs and the rebuild with shutdown and scoring ability among the best in the league. THEY CAN CREATE A RUN FOR THE PLAYOFFS OR SHUT DOWN TOP LINES AND SCORE.A long with having a player available to fill a injury. In a few years we replace BECK AS He matures to a top line. we may be a contender by then, you need a center because of injury. as is the 4th line is a Swiss army knife for a playoff run. Are we willing to abandon that for a second round pick…….. We got Suzuki Cole, Slaf, Demidov,. Hage. Anderson,… Dach, Kapinen, Heinamen and LAINE AND ROY. Where do fit a second rounder in 2026.

I will take a mug! I am too old for a hat, cause that would put me in fanboy zone
We get it dude ,four posts is enough..
How about this? Does Evans, Armia, a D-man ( not Reinbarker/Mailloux), a second or first if it is a big, big piece. Hard in one move, but three team deals.
Unless other teams really want Dach, Evans, Armia, Dvorak and possibly Savard…let's see what is offered at trade deadline. Habs are hovering around a playoff spot but keep your eyes on the prize. Plan for next year and don't give up key prospects just to get into playoffs this year.
At this point, who is a better, more valuable piece? Armia or Anderson.
Oooh, i never thought of it but could we see a Kapanen, Beck and Heineman line next year? I like the sound of that.
Dustin wolf on Fanduel +1700 😂😂😂 to win the Calder and thinking he
Is the favorite is a Wild take.
I think they will keep Evans and will agree to a contract at about 3.5M per year for 3 years and trade Armia and Dvorak.
Give dach another year to see if we need to move him or not I’d put him with Anderson and gally play on a line with hustle and heart maybe they will teach him more to be a power forward style kapanen maybe on the fourth and leave beck on the second for now unless habs sign a good centre for the second line who knows but I’m excited
One small problem. Not many contenders have a 1st this season. Only Vegas, Toronto, Washington, Carolina and Columbus are non-lottery teams with a 1st. If they package Armia and Evans and want a first, it'll have to be for 2026.
Penguins would be the best target to trade picks with, they're fresh starting a rebuild with an empty cupboard.
Dach looks better as a winger ,Devo will probably go in the summer and Jake ? That’s 3 centers gone .
Who’s gonna play center next year ? A bunch of kids with no experience ?
I doubt Hugo wants to extend the rebuild another 5 years .
Green screen background would take the presentation to the next level Shaun.
Keep it simple. Keep Evans and Armia as Kong as we are compétons for a playoffs spot, or you get an offer you can’t refuse.
A second round pick…. I'd keep Evans if that's the most we'll get.
After butchering the Slafkovsky and reinbacher picks , the last thing the habs should do is trade to get into the top 5 , plus remember their horrible trades on draft day? Dach and newhook .
If the habs trade Evans and dvorak ? Who’s gonna play on the pk? Will be forced on the pk and the whole thing will suffer , I’ve said that many weeks ago , I’ve even taken screen shots so I can tell you guys , I told you so next year
Some of you fans are blind , all you see is what’s on the surface , the surface being trade Evans cause 4 millions is too expensive yet you have Laine, Gallagher , dvorak and anderson on the payroll, what’s under the surface is that nick suzuki will be forced to play big minute on the pk and defensive mission which will translate in an anemic offence
Plus , all you delusional fans claiming B prospects like beck , Kapanen will come in and replace these guys😂😂😂😂😂 good luck with that .
Habs lose Evans , Armia and dvorak, be ready to take a major step back next season , and this will make Slafkovsky regress , caufield production will drop due to Suzuki being unable to concentrate on offense , you think Laine is streaky now?😂😂😂 Gallagher , Anderson and others will be exposed and forced to play more minutes which will take us right back to the 23-24 version of these 2
But it’s ok , the habs will receive late 3rd rounder and career AHLers for Evans , Armia and dvorak 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂ demidov can play with newhook and Gallagher 😂😂😂
If hugues trade these guys and doesn’t replace them immediately, Hugues will get fired within 2 years , you heard it here first
In my opinion i would love to see a line of Laine Beck and Hiennaman
The Sharks just gave the Calgary Flames a tough challenge, so tonight's game is far from a sure thing.
Would you offer one of your first round picks this year for Dylan Cousins
Damn it, Shaun. I got baited hard with that title, thinking a trade happened. Personally, I rather keep Evans and trade players like Newhook and Dach. Evans fills a depth role, center, good defensively and on the PK, reliable and hard working. Dach and Newhook were experiments like Harris and Barron, they aren’t panning out and one is borderline made of glass, move on.
I think they. Will get a number one this yr for evans , a first in 2026 for savard especially if they retain salary, armia a 2nd in 2026 and get what for divorak. I like the idea of future 1st , that way you can perhaps go after a RFA like dobson
One last thing , for all of you who constantly call the Evans line the fourth line🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂ are you guys touched ? Evans is the 4th most used foward on the team behind Suzuki , caufield and Slafkovsky, he plays way more minutes than gallagher, Anderson , dvorak , Laine , newhook and 5 second less than Dach who played less games so basically he plays more minute than everyone on the second line , Armia plays more minutes than gallagher , Anderson , dvoralk and Laine , again I’m much more difficult situation
Also Jake Evans is 5th in Points, Armia is 8th in points with almost no pp time , he’s ahead of Laine , Dach , Anderson , dvorak and newhook , Armia is ahead of two guys hugues paid 2 x1st and a 2nd rounder to aquire and now some of you want to trade him for a mid round pick😂😂😂
So in résumé , Armia and Evans outscored pretty much everyone on this team except the first line and Hutson , they pay in the hardest condition , on all pk and are on the ice to protect the lead at the end of a game , so in what mongoloid world are these guy considered 4th line? 😂😂🤦♂🤦♂ The Dvorak line is the fourth line and Gallagher and Anderson should be thankful cause it’s because of Armia and evens why their career is kind of getting back on track
When I hear people talking about trading Evans amd Armia when the habs have Laine , gallgher , Anderson , Dach , newhook and dvorak on the payroll😂😂😂😂😂 thank god you guys aren’t GMs🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
Who are you tell Kent Hughes super agnet now GM, you're Shaun Starr bro👊
If Montreal lose tonight and the blue jacket win , then expect trades happening in the next few days
