Mercyhurst’s Joseph Duszak signs with NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs

Mercyhurst University hockey player Joseph Duszak announced on March 13, 2019 at the Mercyhurst Ice Center at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pa., that he’s signed a two-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League, effective beginning in the 2019-20 season. Duszak is a 21-year-old, third-year defenseman from Franklin Square, Nassau County, N.Y. He has 16 goals and 31 assists this season. He is the seventh Mercyhurst player to sign an NHL contract.
