Just 12 to go to be half( or less) the player Gretzky was…The Great One did it 4 years faster and oh, lets not forget he has an additional 1200 pts more than Ovy with almost 2000 assists….Nevermind he's crippled that team staying on way longer than he should….yes he has a lot of goals this year….how many did his team mates give up for him….Hmmmm ….Wayne is also credited with actually changing the game single handedly ! The Great one will always be " THE GREAT ONE" !

I don’t think he can get the record before the season ends. It would be nice if he could. Never say never but I think it will be hard. He has to pickup the pace and get lucky. Next year he should get the record and then add to his all time goal scoring record.
I’d like to see him get the record before the end of this season but I just don’t see it happening in the 24/25 season.
