Bergeron,Chara and Rask were such great pieces for the Bruins during their careers, Unfortunate they couldn't win more than 1 cup with all of them.
Thanks
Quite the historical team these last 25yrs yrs. Really weird seeing the fall off this yr especially
Good lord; the gap in points from Pasta to Chara (almost 250 points) speak volumes. Also incredibly surprising that beyond those top 4, they didn't have a single forward to score 400 points. No wonder they were ALWAYS looking for a winger
10 to go wooooooo
B+ or B because the management is a clown show for a decade
Almost quarter century, confused
As a bruins fan I would take some more regular season losses if it meant we’d win another cup. Getting tired of limited playoff success but maybe that’s who we are. History shows Bruins have always been good at choking in the playoffs.
Marchand is a first ballot hof
Been loving this series. As someone who only got into hockey in 2020 it's been great to get some history and context for everything
As good as they may have been in years past, Sweeney and Neely are the true problems with this franchise as of recent. On the worst nights, the "Fire Sweeney, Fire Neely" chants have been audible in the garden. They have never been held accountable and always scapegoat a coach for a quick fix. Just like Bruce Cassidy did, I really hope Jim Montgomery wins one in St Louis very soon to shove it in their face (coming from a Bruins fan). Respect these guys for what they have done, but after 10+ years it's time to change it up.
If Marchand goes into the Hall I don't forsee any opinions on the internet about it, none whatsoever….
Thanks for the video! Great info, details, and insights! They deserve an A- at least for the regular season play and the one Cup. Marchand is one of the dirtiest players to ever skate. Total scum. He's been lucky to play with some great players.
My sister did gymnastics with Chiarelli’s daughter during the 2010s, I was very oblivious to his reputation at the time
The Bruins are epically bad in Cup Finals. Since winning in 1972, they have played in 8 Cup Finals and lost 7 of them. And they only won in 2011 against a better Vancouver team because Tim Thomas decided to play like all the other teams’ goalies usually play against Boston in a finals series.
Tuuuuuk, loved that dude
As Bruins fan, 1 Stanley Cup was great but we have so many great seasons that ended with playoff failure. The Dave Lewis error was one to forget as well as that awful 2015 NHL draft and in addition they acquire few too many former college hockey players (especially from Hockey East) over the CHL players.
Damn, Keenan was with the Bruins too? Fascinating coaching list. Ftorek was a favorite of mine in his playing days but his coaching record was mixed. Had a very good win-loss record but would get fired. Always had the impression his players hated him which is why, I guess, he didn't last even with a winning record. And hard luck Islander Dave Lewis who was on the wrong end of the famous Butch Goring trade. Goring coached the B's too but I guess it was before 2001.
I am a bit disappointed that there aren't more numbers in the video. I mean, totals for 25 years of wins is probably meaningless, maybe average goals per season, points per season and some record numbers (lows and highs). But I like numbers, maybe that's not for everybody.
Exhibit A on why you'll never see NHL Hockey in Hartford ever again
6:56 would love a video on the Mike O'Connell era. Can't find anything 🔎
I don’t even like him but Tim
Thomas should absolutely be in the Hall of Fame.
2015 draft for Sweeny was the killer
