Totally see Florian as an NHLer. I think the Habs also saw him as one, calling him a unicorn in the filmed behind the scenes meetings prior to the draft. What I believe they meant by that is he can bring what Arber brings, to the 4th line. I see him as a dominant player in puck battles, physical play in general, and the intimidation factor. I think he might eventually be able to pitch in about 10 goals per season. I don't think he's quite as big as Arber right now, but he has his brother's huge fists. And he enjoys using them. I've seen him fight. He's got the natural strength of course, but he's also got good technique. You can tell the WiFi brothers have a lot of practice in this regard. Seems like he's got his brother's leadership skills too. Popular guy in the room, as are most guys that defend their teammates.
He's got everything you'd want in an excellent 4th liner. It's all a question of how well he will adjust to the NHL speed. No need to rush him. The AHL is a great league to develop your defensive and physical game.

Wish you would have asked him about Mesar, a 1st round pick. Is it too soon to label him a bust and a costly draft mistake.

Davidson will break through on the bottom 6 sooner rather than later.
Your thoughts on if the rebuild plan all works out timewise re the ages of the players. Are the majority going to peak and/or mature at right time collectively?

I watched Davidson play in Junior, What I like about him is that he is not just a performer during the regular season, he performs in the playoffs as well. I thin he can be a fit as an NHLer
I’m happy with how Laval is playing and growing habs in a few years are gonna be a unit of a team from Florian, Luke tuch, beck, Roy, Farrell, mesar, simoneu then having demidov hage coming going to be great to see habs to be great again

Davidson should be brought up if Anderson is out. He can fill his role.
Only star prospect for the moment is Demidov. Only player performing at the pro level. All others are ordinary for now. They have to prove themselves first. Lots of projected 3rd and 4th liners and solid 5-6 defensemen.Montreal fans always put the cart before the horse.
The congestion in Laval is causing bad development and poor evaluation of some players , since the injury in Laval , xhekaj gets decent minutes and I could see him score 30 in Laval next year , that’s not the only example, lot of prospects have been put on the back burner while Montreal(Laval) waste time with players like Roy , Boulet and RHP on the first line , why not give those minutes to players who could have a future instead of killing their value on bottom six?
Perfect example , Farrell , everyone had forgot about him, after all the injuries in Laval , they moved him up on the second line , since then , he had 4 multi point games over an 8 game stretch , something no other players has done in the history of Laval , he also has 11 pts in 9 games , that’s another record for any player in Laval history over a nine games stretch , same thing is happening to Trudeau , same thing to engastrom
Make room , a lot more prospects are coming to Laval , get rid of RHP, Boulet and Roy , they have no future here , send Roy to Chicago , he had a good chemistry with bedard
As for engstrom , you’d have to be touched to think this guy isn’t an NHLer , better than carrier , better than Struble , he’s a complete defenseman
Reinbacher rarely hits and doesn’t produce , he might become a good shut down defenseman , but he’ll never be a first pairing defenseman on a contender

Montreal needs to make room and go get a first pairing right hand d-man and a left handed center , those two things should be on top of the list for hugues , why not make a blockbuster and finally solve the defenseman situation and establish a constant set of defensemen while trading piece you don’t have the room for in your organization, even if it means overpaying ? At this point it wouldn’t even be overpaying , it would mean aquire a piece that would make you go from pretender to contender
Example , matheson , Roy , Calgary 1st , 2nd rounder , 3rd rounder for Dobson ? Add or remove pieces , but do anything you can to make that trade work
Best thing that the habs did for this season was getting Burrows away from behind the bench , I think this helped more than any trade could
