Glad they gave McKinnon,Makar,& Toewes practice off but I wish they would've just rested em these past 2 games like I said BEFORE the weekend. You are in the same boat-you list then anyways but those guys got no rest. I also agree with AJ on Wood-hes just a liability at this point it seems. At least Parsinen chips in an occasional point. About the only thing Wood has chipped in since he returned is some terrible penalties. As for the health-theyve been the most injured contender in basically the 2020s-I don't even expect it anymore. And this homestand-ya better get at least 8pts… probably 9.

The dejecting thing is this organization was in such an advantageous position post cup. And MacFarland has made wrong move after wrong move whether it be via trade or in free agency since. In just 3 years there's a laundry list of players he's acquired that have been massive disappointments or flat out failures here. Plus his asset management has been horrendous. A 2nd for Lars Eller. A 1st to Philly to offload the Ryjo debacle. And even this year a 3rd for Jusso Parssinen. 3 top 3 picks given away for essentially nothing.
Not even going to mention his mid return for Mikko. Necas is supremely talented, but can he be consistent? Will he show up postseason? No 1st for a top 10 player in the world? And he got Jack Drury who low key kind of sucks. Maybe he has something to offer as an executive. I'm sure he's a swell guy & works hard. But he's been a dumpster fire as GM.

Keeping Wood in the lineup over Parssinen is crazy. Juuso provides so much more utility than Wood. I struggle to come up with things Woody is good at other than his straight-line speed.

So there is one guy I really like for this team at the deadline and the reason why is this move would have an impact on multiple lines for the AVS. So hear me out. Brad Marchand is my guy for a multitude of reasons! First off, he's a major agitator and that is EXACTLY what this team needs. Makar asked about playing with him at four nations said he's one of the guys you love playing with and you hate to play against. He also loves to shoot the puck and can still score. Third, he gives that line a veteran presence. Now here is how adding Marchand helps fix these other line issues. Ross Colton started his struggle when he came back and moved from center. Yeah, he scored a lot playing on the line with Mac to start the season. That being said, who isn't better when playing with Mac? In Tampa he was a 2C and obviously you would have to trade Mitts to Boston for Marchand. So what do you have to lose here? Colton has nothing in his last 14 games at wing on the third line. Move him back to his natural position at 2C with Marchand and either Lehky or Nuke. That moves Drouin down to the third line and gives him a chance to shine with Drury and LOC. So one move, has the potential to fix multiple lines. I would love to hear thoughts..
