After watching TAA play the part of a cone on Sunday and just watch Doku walk around him time after time, he is a very replaceable asset. There is no questions he has talent but I am amazed that he is rated as high as he is due to his very uneven performances over the past couple seasons. Bottom line, are the occasional well placed long balls to Mo and 2-3 free kick goals per season worth the very average defensive play?

You don't know what you got until it's gone! Trent has 6 assists this season second only to Mo. He has twice as many assists as any of our mids. Wherein Dom, Grav and have 3 each and Mac 2. Ontop of that he has 2 goals. If Mo and Trent left this, squad is dead! Trent absolutely must stay.
As much as Slot acknowledges Trent's weakness at defense, he always praises his role in the team. In his interview with Rio, he indicated how he expects Trent to go forward with the ball, as Klopp also expected, which makes him vulnerable in counter attacks. I believe there is something that the managers see in Trent that we don't, and the same reason Real would want him.
I am surprised this sort of bullshit is coming from Liverpool fans. I see people slating our most creative outlet for more than 5 years at a stretch.
Connor Bradley is way better defensively and can also pass the ball

I don't see TAA as a captain material as much as I like him.
Trent has not played in midfield AT ALL like he did with Klopp. Slot wants a Bradley type and Slot is seeing what Trent has, and Trent is showing exactly what he is in that RB position.
Great observation. I felt Klopp failed us with the Trent conundrum. I believe, if we are on a continuous curve of improving, Trent is a liability.

Interesting but why would you let his contract run down and have to sell him for nothing? If you were savvy you’d have given him a two year contract and then sell after six months in the next available transfer window
