Saw an interesting interview with Devan Dubnyk and he was showing the scrambling by defense and forwards in front of them. Too chaotic . I still believe a goalie needs to step up or be replaced. If not in the trade deadline then in the upcoming season.

Come on guys the whole team had 2 bad nights.Stu Skinner got us all the way to the Stanley Cup. Picard usually is great backup but as I said they all had a bad 2 games. Matt Savoie did ok even Klingberg got his first goal. 🥅 So faith in our team and always thank you Patrick “ for being a friend”
I doubt John Gibson is the answer and I'm getting tired of those rumors. The asking price for a mid tier goalie like him is pretty high. I'm all for goaltending to be better. The question is do you want to sacrifice Savoie for Gibson? That is what Anaheim will be asking for. Especially a goalie that has a history of injuries and acts like a diva.

Stauffer says Edmonton Oilers are not the same since losing Foegle, McLeod and Holloway. Bowman/Jackson never even tried to sign Foegle, just gave him away, WTF? Traded McLeod for ????? Lost Holloway on waivers WTF? Could have had Tyson Berry on waivers and then traded Bouchard for a goalie, but no??? WTF? No goalie,, no cup. Bowman/Jackson wrecked this team. Fire them now Katz.

Goaltending is a problem in Edmonton, and has been for years. It's not the "only" problem. We get it.
Thing is, on most nights that they have lost? It's goaltending that is the problem, and in particular, Skinner. You can try and slice it any way you want, but that is the truth of it.
Drop Gibson or Vejmelka in most of the games where Stu coughed up a 2 or 3 goal lead in the first 10 minutes (which would be about half of his games), and many of those would have been wins without coughing up those goals and forcing the team to dig its way out of them.
I'm done putting up with Skinner. Ya, Pickard stank it up last night too, but he hasn't had nearly as disastrous a season as Skinner has.
well, now its come to the point just enjoy the rest of the season with no expectations and watch the Oilers management sleep in the bed they made. They are adamant this team is a depth F/D away from a cup, fine lets see how that plays out in late April when Skinner and Pickard get lit up by Colorado in the first round. On to next year 🙁
Everyone needs to stop talking about the goalies and focus on the play on front of them. There were tons of defensive breakdowns, they gave up sooo many odd man rushes and, the number one cancer on this team, Bouchard! He's incredibly awful, just the worst defenseman in history as far as his defensive acumen, his lack of urgency and just lack of intelligence all around. He is directly responsible for at least one goal against per game and, this weekend? I counted 5 goals against that were 100% his fault. Zero accountability. Absolutely never misses a shift or gets demoted and this has been happening for years. When will they send a message and try to make him responsible for his mistakes instead of throwing the goalies under the bus?
