I somewhat see similarities between jake Oettinger and Thatcher Demko because Demko had a playoff series that was amazing and then he was really good so maybe Oettinger will be the same

With oettinger, you can look at that situation like demko, where in 2019-20 season, his numbers were not great, but the playoffs he was spectacular. Than he went on to become the teams future. Same can go for oettinger. I think he should get locked up long term.

I CAN'T WAIT for the Benn and Seguin contracts to be up on top of the cap going up. If Jake isn't willing to sign a prove it contract to hold over until the team has the space in a couple years, maybe he's worried about that regular season performance.

Do the stars just not want oettinger or something? Last season they bring in holtby to put oettinger in the ahl despite him doing good in the 2020-2021 and now they don't want to pay him.
the arbitrator doesnt award term, the party that didnt elect for arbitration chooses between 1 or 2 years at the arbitrators aav. in this case trenin opted for arbitration, nashville chose 2 years. if the team elects for arbitration, the player chooses between 1 or 2 years.
If you over offer Jake you can’t offer a reasonable offer to ROBO and vice versa. That’s when the sneak in offer sheet happens..

I think Dallas should take a chance on Oettinger as long as it's not 4+ years. It's not like you have an option that has the same potential.
Oettinger can be signed, up to them.
The good news for kolesar is if vegas gets superstar thirsty again his cap hit means that at least he will get traded with some vegas buddies.
