Demoralizing a player in the media Sutter style kills the room….behind the scenes we dont see the extra work , commitment nor do we give credit to how hard it is to try and change thr culture of a team seemingly overnight. This is why Iginla taking time out to sit with Klapka , why his endorsement of players in Junior is so important. I hope Huska is retained for a long long time and Conroy honors that its the players NOT the coaches who fail for once in Calgary.
We dont have coach killers in the locker room anymore….occasionally though certain players dont play like team players however cough coughKadri and that needs to change when we see guys try to be superman and the cute stuff leads to turnovers . That gambling mentality has to stop. Gotta come back .500 from thr road trip or the season is done. The Canucks and Oilers keep losing and that makes me happy
