@Montreal Canadiens

This is EXACTLY what we want from him..

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the game last night between the Montreal Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators.. In my opinion this was the best game that Juraj Slafkovsky played all season, and I can’t wait to see him play like this more often!

  1. Slaf doesn't have to be dirty to be effective. He's just got to be mean. He might not have high end top 5 NHL skill but he's got something you can't teach, size. If he becomes a gritty player like Sam Bennett for example, watch out. Last game was an example of that and if he can keep it up, The Habs will continue to be a team hard to play against. Once they start making the playoffs, he can single handedly wear down the opponents. He's 20. Wait until he starts to get used to his big frame. Now only if Dach can follow his lead. I'm a big fan of Emil Heineman. I feel like I'm on of the few who thinks this guy can become a top 6 forward. Maybe not. He might fall short and on a good year, score 15 goals and 40 points in the NHL. BUT, if the guy keeps improving and can reach 20+ goals and 50+ point, that's still great. He's 6'2", 200lbs and plays a gritty game. Those guys accel in the post-season. So if both Heineman and Slafkovsky continue laying into other guys, they don't need to score 40 goals to be effective. Heineman is also tough. He was hit by a car and rumor is the car was a total loss. OK I made that last part up.. lol

  2. That guy showed no respect to Slaf, a little followup after the initial hit, excellent footage, none of the other sites had that. Slaf responded correctly. He fed him a few, protected his hands at the same time. The only thing he lacks is confidence, he played with confidence last night and it showed. Laine got the monkey off his back. GO Habs GO.

  3. Slafs only missed an assist to have a Gordie Howe hat trick…Slafs hit everything that moved and for only the 2nd fight of his career he did excellently. the fist pump by the team was outstanding and if he continues to play like this game he definitely advanced his game

  4. Slav is too much of a happy guy to play like an intense a-hole Tkachuck. He just has to play his own "hulk smash" happy game.

  5. We have to trade Matheson. This guy is a defensive liability. Even after all these years he still makes bone headed decisions and mistakes. It’s never going to improve. Yes, he’s good offensively but we now have have Hudson for that.

  6. He'll never have Brady's aggressiveness, but he can still be a player that throws he's weight around. If Slaf winds up being a 60 point player but plays a physical game like yesterday, he'll become one of our most important players. Furthermore, if he continues playing like yesterday, I believe he'll wind up having much more scoring opportunities, and thus rack up more points. Still believe he can become a "close to" point per game physical beast.

  7. Re. Slaf's play, If the end of last year is an indicator, he should be picking up his game now. Remember the CH signed him to this huge deal solely based on how he did during the sample of the last 30-40 games of last season.
    If he can dominate, and be a driving force for the team, the Habs might be able to get on a run and put themselves in the wild card race.

  8. Brady ain’t nothing special 30 goal point per game guy who lays bod. See no reason why slaf can’t be that kind of player one day. Hes putting up similar numbers to Brady at the same age as well. 4 nations got that man Brady tkachuk super overhyped.
