When it’s been this long since this generation has experienced, no one expected this. Except us older folk who remember the vicious, skillful and passionate events from days gone by. The players are soft now, the league only cares about itself so these events have been passed over. I say soft because they don’t want to put in the extra work and dedication that it takes. NHLPA and NHL have taken these great events out of McDavids career which every generational player has been exposed to but him. Greed and soft minds have caused the fans to miss out on these events. Us older folks knew exactly what would happen in this 4 nations cup. Today’s fans weren’t excited for it because they have no idea. This stuff is world jrs times 10. We knew.
Remember it was podcast like this one where the guys totally downplayed this event.
