I think its an unwritten rule now when playing against the Capitals to give Ovi the empty net chance, even when down a lot of goals

He is capable, not denying that. Imagine for the rest of the year, Ovi will be on both power play units and on the ice for the entirety of any empty net opportunities.

ok.. I have always said Ovi was the GREATEST goal scorer in the History of Hockey… but pulling the goalie with 3 min left with 3 goals down in Regular season game. I must say, Oilers did that with the respect for Ovi. And yes, I do WANT to see this happen THIS season! Don;t make me wait until next season!!

Records are meant to be broken and who is none better to break a record as old & prestigious as Gretzky's goal record than OV. Could not have been for a better guy, when he does it (it's no longer if) it'll be a great moment.

40 year Pens fan here, I felt very confident that Ovi would get the record this year. I'll be shocked if he doesn't. Maybe against Pittsburgh the last game of the year! Imagine him getting the record and maybe another cup, that would be insane. So impressive what the Caps are doing this year.
