I think its Tochetts coaching style which doesnt allow offensive gifted players to show there skill. Its more about grinding, skating, positioning and were losing all these skilled players!
I don’t think it all has to do with PDO the only reason why the Canucks were “getting lucky” was that they were generating grade A opportunities meaning they could score on less opportunities. This year they struggle to generate that top look that’s the difference it’s not all luck based there’s a skill in generating those looks even if you have a really low shot count.

Everything went right last year. This year almost everything has gone wrong. And they are still in a playoff spot.
The sky isn't falling. Im actually looking forward to seeing what this management team does. They'll have cap space, a few picks to wheel and deal and multiple guys on elc's next year. I think they'll be fine. They should be all in the next 2 years. Swing for the fences while they have Hughes.
