Great start for the leafs in the 1st period 4-0 but canes scored 3 I thought they going to make a comeback but Matthews saved the day for us.Go Leafs Go π
Two really bad breaks for the Leafs on Carolina's second and third goals made this game closer than it should have been. I'm glad the Leafs were able to get it done after that, though. They are now 24-0 when leading after two periods.

5 years ago, we lost to the Canes who had David Ayres in net. This kinda takes the sting out lol
Significant proportion of LEAFS fans are bashing Matthews after 4NFO, may turn out to be like the dispute between Punch Imlach and Harold Ballard against Darryl Sittler.
Even when AM#34 made ENG to save the team, the reaction from arena was weak, and he was also cold towards him. There must be a deep rejection of the team's first "American" captain among the LEAFS fans.
