One NC State coach that doesn't get the respect he deserves is Nornan Sloan. We did not call him Storming Norman for nothing. He was fearless, took no crap from Dean or Lefty or anyone else. No quarter asked or none giiven. That is what is missing at NC State at least from this fan's perspective. I think why Pack fans are irritated. If you are going to play for the Pack that should be taken to the Biology Department and given a lecture about what wolfs act like. Norm Sloan put that fire in the belly of his players. Only the women's team seems to have that fire any more. Maybe it is the Pixie Dust from the corners of Reynolds. Pack '75. Go Pack!
As far as I'm concerned, Carolina has two options: 1.) remodel the Smith Center or 2.) Build a new arena in the Bowles Parking lot. If Duke can make it work at Cameron, Kansas can make it work at Allen Fieldhouse and Kentucky can make it work at Rupp Arena, then Carolina can make it work at the Smith Center.
Uh, next year IS 2026. There's no year between now and then to have an All-Star Game before the Olympics.
