If the islanders prospect cupboard was full and the islanders had a lot of draft capital then resigning Brock would be fine. He’s a really good player. Unfortunately with no prospects and very little draft capital, signing Brock is just dumb. End of story.

I definitely see Brock getting 8 million in the off season… I think he is a much better player than you guys are making him out to be but I trade him now…he is getting older… but let's remember that he is a streaky player… I still think he reachs 30 goals this year… and his production will be hard to replace… just my opinion
I do believe we need assists but I also don't know how we can replace him he is a two way center who wins face-offs, score goals and makes his wingers better

Hear me out: Foudy & Nelson for Rossi and a 2nd(wild) Palmeri for Alex Iafallo and a 1st(Jets) And maybe a dobson trade. We dont even have to do a massive rebuild. Just a couple of key pecies moved, get a little younger and gain some draft capital. We could even go for a wildcard(probably not)
