  1. Laine will be fine once he has a couple decent linemates! He’s playing best on best and put up 3 points in the 3 games! He just needs some linemates! Demidov next year and they need to trade for a decent 2nd line centre to complete that line!

  2. People tend to listen to respond not to understand. As a trainer I had to learn how to listen to my trainees. What Laine said was that he was getting less ice time and did not like it, but also said right after that he needed to look at his own play to see why. Reinbacher will be our right side Ghule. I see very simliar styles to their skating and the way they see the game. Great Show! GO HABS GO!

  3. All the good attributes you mention about Savard as trade bait are true. That said it seems to me for a team 2-4 years from any serious playoff success, so maybe you keep Savard and let him help mentor all the kids coming in.

  4. Marty has a point, and a nice way of talking to Laine. The Habs will let me down again this year, but I’ve stuck with them since 1972. I was 4. It really doesn’t matter who comes up this year. In 2 years time I want a winning team.

  5. Time to clean house. Evans, Dvo, Anderson, Savard, Gallagher, Pezzetta, bring up the younger players, Kapanen, Beck, Roy, Mailloux, Reinbacher and SIGN CROSBY

  6. If Laine can't get along with MSL, Patty has to go. MSL's job is to mold this group of young men into a team that can't be beat. Make mistakes because you are playing hard, and it's ok. Lay back and you have to leave.

I still think Patty is intelligent enough to understand this, and we hope he stays healthy, physically and mentally.

  7. If HuGo trades Savard to the Leafs, I'm DONE with giving them any 'benefit of the doubt' about their decisions. You guys well know that I'm disgruntled with a lot of trades HuGo has made. But that would be the killer for me.

  8. Last thing we need to be doing is giving the Leafs a break on their poor salary cap managment by giving Savard to them for another 'core four' playoff run (with the entire bottom half of their team cobbled together yet again from what they can pilfer from others).

  9. 58 moved, slow but a good shot blocker. Trade 71 & 11 between now and the 7th, then 28, 45, Primes at/before the draft, keep 15, 17, 40. (bottom 6 and PK) Why move 45, he is too small at 5-11 173lbs to box out, especially on a team with so many small players….such as 13 & 48 who will be on the ice for a third of the game, minimum.

  10. No trades with leafs. F them. The return wouldn’t be worth the annoyance of even one extra playoff win or god forbid a first round win
