Lindholm injured?| Bruins Comeback! | Bruins Game 17 Recap
It’s looking like Matthew Poitras is staying in Providence. The Bruins came back from a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 over the St. Louis Blues. David Pastrnak with the winner in regulation.
Jeremy Swayman stood tall in the win.
It’s not all smiles, as the Bruins might be without Hampus Lindholm.

Looks as if we overrated Poitras.
what are your thoughts from the 3-2 win over the Blues?
I find it hard to believe we are in 3rd place in our division LOL Our division is not the powerhouse it used to be.
I get they are trying to get Geekie and Fredric going but putting them on the 2nd powerplay unit? I mean Brazeau gets goals in multiple games and he, of course, does not get rewarded with some powerplay time?
Speaking of the powerplay and our special teams in general, at what point do we call out the special teams coach/s? I can see our powerplay being middle of the road and be alright with it, but how the hell is our penalty killing so horrible? I mean Forbert was the glue that held our penalty kill together?
This game was a confidence builder, they beat a team they should have beat. Hope it continues in Dallas.
I still believe the Bruins will progressively improve throughout the season.
PK is completely passive. Other teams disrupt Bs with aggressive PK pressure. Why can't we?
Hate seeing Beecher moved out, he's a perfect compliment on that 4th line, Monty never ending shuffle
I'm not thrilled with Poitras getting sent down. As much as I dislike analytics he has some of the best numbers on the team. I realize results matter but maybe with competent wings more goals would be scored. He was winning puck battles. He cut down his getting caught from behind because he was moving the puck faster. He was learning. Putting him on the wing was a bad idea, he looked lost out there. Maybe that had something to do with the decision.
Of course I could be way off and going down might be the best thing for him. I don't know. It's confusing, he was nowhere near being the worst player in the lineup/
i think the bruins miss sophia being around and thats why they are slumping but razor brought the positive vibes last night calling for the comeback. that was great.
Wow, a regulation win. I thought we only won overtime games
I am positive we need more offense!!
I’ve come to accept Pasternak will commit turnovers and take some dumb penalties. Pastrnak is a goal big scorer they need desperately. The PK concerns me, I agree, these guys have not gelled yet with trusting each other. Last nights comeback surprised and energized me. There’s hope these guys settle down and breakout of this malaise.
Wasn't overly impressed with the first 2 periods especially the PK. Time for a change of plans for the way they are trying to kill penalties. Poitras should be fine with a little more ice time that he will get in Providence. Very happy with the effort in the 3rd. Still need to cut down on the defensive zone turnovers
Who is available in the draft next year? Is it worth tanking this season? How good is the next draft?
A Fine Win, good for morale 👌😁. The Blues are NOT a good team they had a similar record and Power Play and Penalty Kill record to the B 's. We have both been underperforming this year. Well done Geekie , keep up the good work, 🎉 Luv My Pasta ! ❤. Hope H. Lindholm comes back soon, he's been a standout on defense. Good third period comeback, 🎉 Bruins have to get much better on special teams. 👀👌
Yep -this is the ole Bruins. Play 1st and 3rd period. The cardiac kids are BACK! 😄
Pasta loved playing in Torey krugs house… wondering if being back around Tory brought up some energy. Even if he wasn't playing, he was definitely around
Remember the knee spins?
The Boston Celtics ☘️ put us through this also during the same cardiac kid era on the Bruins 2007-2012+!
Played 3/4 of the game.
Do well the first half then we'd cringe third quarter! The bigger the lead the faster they blew it!
it took Paul Pierce & Ray Allen sinking three-pointers the last minute or at the final buzzer!
Got to keep up on our omega-3s following some of these teams to protect our cardiac systems!
journey of a thousand Miles to the playoffs starts with the first win, against the same team that stole our 2019 cup!
Of course there's still alot more required "fixing" this team.
There's got to be good reason to send Matt down.
They want him in a winning culture… ready to play the second half of the season. Especially playoffs when the enforcers come out.
Based on one of his previous interviews – I totally agreed with Monty (summarized) "we start off the season winning but we're not playing in june… This is the time to make adjustments. We want to be playing in June this year… "
That fits with getting Matt ready for second half of the season.
Without being injured, we hope!
Nothing more to add. You & the rest of the comments said it all.
Since Canada eliminated the penny, I can't call it my two cents! 🪙 🪙
2 loonies!
Go Bruins!
🐻
More shooting, pucks to the net, defensemen adding to the Mayhem it was a win win situation…now if they can get 3 periods of play that’ll be the cherry 🍒 on the cake 🍰
I want Pasta scoring 40+ goals every year, not winning Selkes.
I really want to see more bombs from Pasta, though him hitting Binner in the logo a few times isn't going to do it.
Definitely like that the boys battled through but a few times they looked like they were missing a system.
among the worst special teams in nhl and this coaching staff has a job because….? I am thinking (hoping) they are just in a holding pattern for Sullivan.
I like the pasta shooting more mentality. Really opens up that first line. I like the Marchy, Elias, Brazz line a lot. 4th line is good and energetic. Lot of positives they can build on
Just have to fix special teams. This win gave me a bit of hope.
Poitras definitely needs to see lots of icetime in Providence! It's all good. The A.H.L is an excellent developmental league!
