I think it's normal that when a coach is asked will a player be allowed to join his new team once his current team is bounced, the answer he'll give you is that his team is going to win the championship, and only then will he be allowed to leave.
Many coaches would have a similar answer, especially proud ones like Rotenberg.
Demidov has always been very clear about his intentions. It has in fact cost him a lot in terms of ice time, power play time. Obviously, no country likes seeing a young prodigy brought up through their system only to bolt as soon as he's drafted and his contract's up.
I think we could see start demidov in third line play 10-15min to adapt in the nhl then moving up to the second or the first soon after
51, Beck, & Ivan in October, let's push it. Would be unstoppable 3rd line.
