Exellent video Dwyer. However I thought Obama Pardoned Jack Johnson in 2014. It's disgrace that Obama sat in office for nearly a decade and didn't pardon Jack, then Trump(of all people) did it for him! SMH!
The man was sent to jail for loving White Women, given a conviction (because the gov't wanted to destroy him), a true Icon and Boxer, but died a convict, why! Can you image the mental stress at a time if you looked at a White Woman, for a Blk Man, you wld of gotten lynched.

Everybody who knows about Jack Johnson knows that the charges against him were BS, and there aren’t any kind of wounds to heal about this subject. This wasn't about cleaning Jack Johnson's name or reputation, since it didn't need any cleansing by now; this was about improving Donald Trump's name and reputation with the black community, with some purely symbolic and non-consequential act.

I don't know how to feel about this whole pardon. in this case his conviction was a witchhunt/miscarriage of justice, A pardon seems more like forgiveness than an actual Apology for the injustice he suffered.
Also since the man's been long gone, it feels very superficial. just my thoughts.

Unbelievable! You have done the EXACT SAME THING AS others! You have the audacity to make a video about my uncle Jack Johnson and felt it was more important to mention everybody else as fighting to get him a pardon but not once did you mention my name or acknowledge my presence there standing next to Donald Trump as JACK Johnson's family. How sad and disrespectful you are as well as the others doing the same thing. Even Sylvester Stallone turned towards me when he was speaking and addressed me as fighting for him as well but YOU nor the others making these videos haven't the decency to show me respect. As a black man sir we should all strive to uplift one another especially when we have a platform to do so. I've been saddened by the way my uncle was mistreated and now some of you are doing almost the same .
