  1. At the beginning of the season this was my fantasy best case scenario. But for it to have become anywhere near possible, Montreal would’ve had to be at least in a playoff position, while Pittsburgh would’ve had to be well out of one. Sid would be an amazing fit in Montreal, but Habs would’ve had to have shown a little more this season if they were to even have a chance to make it happen. Still hoping, but it’s just not likely 😢

  2. having Crosby as Demidov center for 2 years would be priceless in term of value for Demidov development. Just Crosby's preparation and work ethic would be huge for the entire room …..no matter who would be on the other wing it will be one of the best 2nd line in the NHL…..

  3. I can't see Crosby wanting to go to Montreal over the Avs at this point. But if he were to end up wearing the C H, just his presence would greatly benefit the Habs young team. Imagine Demidov, Hutson, Hague, Slaf, learning what it takes to be a professional from one of the greatest? That could have long-term benefits greater than if Sid were to rack up points in a Habs sweater.
Who knows, it would be one hell of a story if he were to be part of a cup winning habs team. A bigger story if it's the cup coming back to Canada since 93.
In saying all that, i think he has a greater desire to play with Nate in Colorado. Do Colorado have the pieces the Pens would be looking for in such a deal? This is where Kent Hughes could step in with his boatload of pics and prospects.
